Brent and Trevor

Brent and Trevor brought their Texas fishing skills with them as we had a great day on the Lower Provo. Trevor was into fish after making a slight change in angle we were fishing. The fish kept Trevor busy while dad was sight fishing to some large browns upstream. Trevor has an amazing hook set! So amazing that the leader and tippet couldn't hold his power:) None the less we landed some very large fish! Dad also hooked and landed some nice fish, but not as big as Trevor's:) Thanks Guys!

Aimee, Leslie, and Judy (The Travelers)

It was my pleasure to take Aimee, Leslie, and Judy on the Middle Provo for some first time fly fishing. Judy kept telling me that her family had told her, "You won't catch anything on your first time fly fishing!" Well, now she has the pictures to prove it. Although she did scare the heck out of my when she hooked a fish she would scream and work towards the fish, which meant she was walking towards deeper water. I think it was a scare tactic that worked...the fish ended up in the net. Leslie did great in the middle slot hooking fish while Aimee waited until the last minute to put her two fish in the net. Thanks guys!

Family of 5

Family of 5

Two days of fishing for a family of 5 from Texas proved to be very effective. I was with Conner and Phillip as we hooked fish after fish. It was fun to be a part of the freindly competition between brothers. Mom, dad, and sister did very well too. Most of mom's time was spent making sure we got the perfect picture, even pulling us off the water and making us hike a mile to take a picture with Mount Timpanogos in the back ground:) As you can see we landed some amazing fish from the Lower Provo. Thanks guys!

Vasi, Alex, and Will the Thrill!

We hit the Lower Provo on a Saturday afternoon so the tube hatch was out in full force. After Alex lost a fish to a tube we moved up into a nice riffle that had the tubers moving in the opposite direction from us. Alex told me he always catches fish and I kind of laughed it off, but boy was he right. Where ever he went he was hooking fish. Will caught and landed the fish of the day with a nice 18" rainbow that jumped 4 times before coming to the net. Alex told me he was going to be playing defense for his high school football team, you can see why in the picture of him dropping a fish:) Thanks for a fun day guys! And good luck on the upcoming season.

Pioneer Day Fly Fishing

Eric and Lisa were off to an early start to beat the Pioneer Day crowd. We settled into a beautiful spot on the Middle Provo and started hooking fish. Lisa was so polite she even asked if I wanted her left over ribs from the night before AND made sure I had enough bug repellant on (Thanks Lisa!). As you can see in the one photo Lisa tried to cut me out but I just wouldn't go away. I also was introduced to the coolest iphone app. A bird caller, type in the name of the bird and it starts calling. I think we freaked out some birds. Eric worked the water with methodic dillegence and was rewarded with some nice browns. The man of many trades can add fly fisherman to the list. Thanks Guys!

Family Outing

Scott, Adam, Betsy, and Jeremy fished the Lower Provo with Ryan and Jeremy (the guide). Jeremy (the fisherman) started in with landing some nice fish, Grandpa took some nice photos and couldn't stop smiling. Everyone caught fish with Adam being the last to get on the board after fishing in some fast water. These pictures are of Betsy's fish she landed after crossing to the other side of the river in true Lewis and Clark fashion. Thanks guys!
